I have developed a reputation for truly caring for my clients and fighting for their needs, in all situations. I am based in Hampton Cove/Big Cove with experience across North Alabama. By specializing in Family Law, I can offer uniquely centralized service to clients facing domestic relations legal matters across Madison, Morgan, and Limestone Counties.
I believe there is nothing more personal, and therefore nothing more challenging, than trying to navigate the legal field when it comes to family relationships. I hope to make all of my clients feel listened to, respected, and encouraged throughout the legal process and help families thrive in whatever form they take.
I was raised in Odenville, Alabama, a small town near Birmingham. I moved to Huntsville after marrying my husband who is a Huntsville native. I always dreamed of going to law school to help the people around me, which has led to a particular passion for adoption and advocating for victims of domestic violence. Before practicing family law, I spent two years as a clerk for a state court judge in Huntsville, learning the ins and outs of legal practice and litigation. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama with a degree in English and Political Science and completed the University Honors in English program as well as the Honors College program. While in college, I marched with the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band for four years (ROLL TIDE!). I then attended the University of Alabama School of Law. While a law student, I was the Executive Editor of the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review. As a member of the Public Interest Student Board, I was awarded the Order of the Samaritan for outstanding service to the community and the law school. I also served in the Civil Law Clinic and the Domestic Violence Clinic, providing free legal services to individuals in the Tuscaloosa area who could not otherwise afford help.
